    Red face Firearm-inflicted injuries?

Not counting actually being shot by a firearm in some manner or another, what kind of injuries have you guys received as a result of your involvement with guns? I'll start...

The 1st time I shot a GLOCK (a buddy's 33, before I really got into guns), the slide bashed the webbing on my hand because I was holding it funny and I didn't realize the slide went backwards when fired.

One time I accidentally let the bolt on my SKS slam shut on my finger, smashing it pretty good.

I've been shot thru the arm with a 22....stung a little, lucky it was a roundnose slug.

    Lessee:
M1 thumb courtesy of my uncle at age 7
hot brass down the shirt/sleeve/welded to arm skin
    cut by slides/arts/frames
    caught multiple riccochets
caught a full jacket from a 5.56 greentip that took a core sample of the arm
removed all my fingerprints for several weeks on my 22 suppressor by hand tighening it when it was really hot. I forgot I was using it with the M16 22 kit.
scope cut on an OLD 40/40 krag

same old crap as everybody else

well I've had a finger sliced a bit by a M-16's action (not from firing, just a release after cleaning with my finger in the way), nothing serious though... some pressure for a few minutes and a band-aid.

beyond that, the common hot brass caught in the shirt, and a few times my ears have been subjected .45 and .223 w/o protection.

I was shooting a friends 1919A4 in 8mm and the barrel decided to separate from the threads. Two rounds fired out of battery before I let off the trigger. My right hand was on the elevation wheel and it got a pretty good blast of unburnt powder and brass shrapnel. No permanent damage or scars. Took a while to get all the powder particles out of my hand. Over the next week or two another one would work it's way to the surface. Very interesting experience.

Also countless cuts from slides closing on fingers, bruised shoulders from too much shotgunning, burns from touching hot barrels, etc.
