School Me
As always, if this has been asked and answered already, I apologize.
Ok, I will fight for gun rights as any intelligent citizen will but it doesn't look good so my questions are :
1. if a ban on "assault weapons" what about one's you own? I assume they
are grandfathered, but can you transport, shoot, etc.?
2. if "assault weapons" are banned, but grandfathered, does 10 round
capacity hold true for rifles
3. if the high capacity ban goes through, does that mean every pistol you
have that holds over 10 rounds you have to find new magazines for ?
What if no magazines exist below 10 rounds
I realize it depends on what laws pass - but for sake of argument, say the above is the case.
Is there any chance ban would be on "new sales" vs "already owned"
I don't remember back to the Clinton year bans too much, so can't remember how it was handled.

Re: School Me
There really is no way to answer your question.
Sen. Fienstein says she has a bill ready to go that "corrects" many of the problems with the prior ban. Since it has not been released we do not know what these corrections are. To say anything else would be speculation.

Re: School Me
I've read she said to ban all transfers, sales, and possession, of "assault type guns". What ever that means.
The question is, will you be on your feet or your knees?

Re: School Me
What about a persons pistol that holds more then the ban? I bought all my mags before a ban. Imagine being detained trying to prove you bought them. Or if you don't have proof on you then they'll take them until you find proof.
