Default Moving forward with an AR Pistol

I've decided to move forward with putting together an AR Pistol. I do have a few questions....
-Are the LPK parts all the same, with the exception of the buffer tube?
-Legally, all I need to build one is to start with an "unbuilt" stripped lower, correct?
-Legally again, a complete upper that's shorter than 16" is what's used? No difference between a SBR and the pistol builds in regards to the uppers?

Lower parts are all the same. Start with a virgin unbuilt lower, throw in parts kit, use a pistol buffer tube, kak blade, or sig brace and you're gtg.. Just don't shoulder it. Lastly the overall length has to be less than 26" iirc.

    LPK are the same.

Buffer stuff isn't part of the LPK.

Buffer TUBE is different - it's sized not to accept a stock.
I think a Shockwave Blade fits a standard pistol buffer tube but not certain.
I think the only difference with the KAK tube is that it is designed to work with the Blade by having dimples on the bottom so you can adjust the length and use a set screw that lines up with a dimple to keep it from moving.
    Spring is the same.
Buffer is same - although different weights may be desired. (I used a heavy buffer - I had a standard weight carbine buffer avail in case the H buffer didn't work out, but no issues)

A "never built" lower is good to go. You don't need a "pistol" lower.

Upper length? I can't say with certainty since I had no interest in a pistol with a barrel longer than 8".
