NJ on his 15th DUI offense, and 78 suspensions.
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man whose driver's license has been suspended 78 times has pleaded guilty to his 15th drunken-driving offense.
Shaun Campbell of East Rutherford told a judge Tuesday that he had been drinking "quite a bit" of beer when he crashed his SUV head-on into a pickup in April. The truck's occupants, a man and his 4-year-old daughter, were not seriously hurt.
The 40-year-old Campbell's blood-alcohol level was .288 percent, more than triple the state's legal limit.
Authorities say Campbell's license has been suspended 78 times in 22 years. He still faces drunken-driving charges in two other New Jersey cities.
Prosecutors are seeking a maximum prison term of nearly three years at Campbell's sentencing in August. He will lose his license for at least 10 more years.
how is this even possible!?!? 15th DUI... 2 more pending in other cities, and he's been suspended 78 times?! ...and all he's going to get is the maximum sentence of 3 years!?
He's obviously NOT learned his lesson, and is serious danger to society. Does NJ think suspending his license for 10 years now is going to keep him off the road??

Nothing wrong with this guy that can't be fixed with a good stout limb and a short piece of rope.

Just keep in mind that he got caught 15 times. He has probably driven drunk and gotten away with it hundreds of times.

THAT, right there!! We have a bunch of judges that obviously CANNOT see that bit of wisdom right there.
We need to start electing people to public office that employ that kind of foresight and wisdom! Thank you for pointing out the very thing that is killing our great nation, the lack of common sense and wisdom.

Drunk driving is not a good thing, but we gotta keep it in perspective on the punishment side as well.

OK, now lets play make-believe. Lets make believe that this was the first time he was caught... carrying a handgun with JHPs.

I would rather make believe he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was driving 70 mph, hit a tree, catapaulted out of his vehicle, shredding his face on the windshield, and turned into a lifeless pulp when his body splattered against the tree trunk. That would be lovely to see happen to this POS.
