Default So happy,,, taking my 10 YO grandson to the range

Granted, it's only for shooting my pellet rifle,,,,, but!!!!! His left wing Mother has granted permission to take him to shoot. Whoo Hoo.....Bonding time!!!! Education time!!! I'm really excited about this. I have a FWB 124 that I'll probably have to cock for him, but I've got a PCP rfle on the way for the next time. He may surprise me and be able to do it himself.

I'll make sure to have it sighted in at 20 yards and have him take it from there. Educating him is the TOP priority. He is a computer kid and has shot up many games,,,,,, but this will be the first time shooting for real.

    I am just soooooo eggzited.......

Congratulations George, and good luck with it! I have two step grandchildren who have gone shooting with me now, and it is a blast. I can't wait for the babies to get old enough to shoot too!

Well done! I took a friend and her 12 year old daughter to the range a couple of weeks ago. Neither had ever shot before, and I never thought of them as a gun-friendly family. Had a great time. Mostly .22 rifle, but they also tried my 9mm and .357 magnum (mom liked that one).

That sound great. I hope you have a great time with him. Just take some aluminum cans or golfballs or something else that will give him some instant feedback of how he's shooting, and have some fun. Don't try to make him hit an x-ring every shot!
