If you traveled into MD, as opposed to through MD, you committed a felony today.
To be in compliance with federal transport regulations, your firearm must be lawful for you to possess in both your state of origin as well as your destination.Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

I am not an expert on Maryland law, but you should be aware that it may not be legal to transport a handgun PA to MD to PA. Whether you lock it in the trunk or not.

Not a 'bad' encounter, but I hope you had a different story in mind had you been pulled over in MD. Going to a meeting is not a lawful exception for the transporting of firearms, unless of course it was 'informal target practice'
and you had a way to back up that claim.
I see your reason for offering up your DL and LTCF but I don't think it's a very good one. I probably would have questioned his PC or RAS had he asked for them and I sure as hell wouldn't have handed them over voluntarily without him asking but to each his own.

Well I had technical difficulty so your all faster than me.
(I admit I think it was the operator not the machine, lol.)
x2 on the through MD clarification (esp since you posted it for the world)"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
