OCing around Armored Car Personnel
Has anyone had any run ins with armored car personnel while OCing? I was at the Redner's on Airport Road in Allentown today and I was OC. As I walked up to the doors, I noticed there was an armored car sitting there in front of one of the doors (there are 2 sets of doors to go in, I was heading for the closest set). The guard that was standing outside of the truck noticed me as I got closer (maybe 20 yards away or so), and I'm almost certain he noticed the S&W strapped on my belt. He seemed to get very nervous, changing his posture, and even going around to the other side of the van for "cover" (at least that's the way it appeared. Seeing this, I didn't want to get any closer and potentially spook him, so I kept my distance and walked around to the other set of doors. But then after I was in the store, I realized that he could have very well radiod ahead to his buddies that were making the pick up, and they could have been waiting for me with guns drawn as I walked in. It just made me very uncomfortable. I don't mean to bash any armored car drivers, if there are any on here. You guys are out there every day doing a dangerous job. But it just got me to thinking, how do they know I'm not somebody coming to rip them off. The LEO's have been trained (somewhat) to leave us alone, and know we're not committing a crime. But while I might not be committing a crime, I could see how being approached by someone with a gun strapped to their hip might not make an armored car driver terribly comfortable. I guess in the future I'll just proceed the same way. Not act threatening, and give them their space. Has anyone else had any similar situations?

I see I'm a little late to the party. Good thread. Thanks.
