Default Can Savage rifle owners comment on the AccuTrigger?

As the title says. Shopping for a .22 and want to know if this is something worth caring about.

The Savage rifles are a hair cheaper than the Marlin rifles I am looking at.

I'm not a Savage owner, but my best friends own a lot of them. As such, I shoot a lot of them with the accutriggers. I like the accutriggers, they work well and feel good. Some people don't like the feeling of the aluminum piece in the front, to be honest, I barely notice the thing. They adjust well, break clean, and in my experience work.

The only thing I don't like about the Savage accutrigger is that if you somehow pull the trigger without the sheath, it'll click, although not fire. You then have to raise and lower the bolt in order to reset the trigger. I haven't played with that many marlins lately, but if you're talking about the new marlins that have a trigger similar to the accutrigger. I played with one of the Marlin XL7, one of the first ones that came out in .30-06, that had the "pro fire trigger" (similar to accutrigger). It would NOT click if you didn't pull the aluminum piece back, and I liked it, because it meant that you didn't have to reset the trigger.

Other than that small thing, I like the accutriggers, they feel and work good. It's not really a gripe or problem with them, it's just an observation that I wanted to mention to you.

I'll commit. I have a Savage 12BVSS in 223 and love it. As far as factory triggers they are very good. I also have a Marlin 60 that doesn't match up as far as the triggers are concerned, but it is a semi auto.

Thanks for the input! I don't know what sort of trigger system modern Marlins use. I am looking at the 981T and 925 though as compared to the Savage Mark II F.

All seem like great rifles with different pros and cons for each and that is what makes this so hard.

I have a Savage 93 17HMR and a 110 in 30-06 with the accutrigger. I love how both of them shoot, the triggers are nice and crisp.

I own a Savage 12FV in .204 Ruger with the Accu-Trigger and I love it. The trigger is adjustable and they even give you the adjustment tool. My Savage is extremely accurate and the light pull helps immensely.

I love the accutrigger on my Savage 93FV 22 mag so much I just went and bought a savage 12 with a accutrigger. A very nice trigger from factory, even nicer with a little fine tuning. Savages give the ultimate bang for the buck.

Your better off going with the Savage models. The Marlins most likely have the T-9000 trigger in them and IMHO, are HORRIBLE!

The accu-trigger will save you cash in the long run!

Have Savage 93 in 17HMR and 10FCM Scout rifle both with the accutrigger. I think they are very good triggers.
