Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and new to semi-auto pistols as well. I'm looking for a NICE indoor shooting range and also want to take a class with my wife in firearms safety. can anyone recommend a place near washington, pa. thanks!

Re: New Here and have questions
Holty,
You can do a search in the ranges section but the answer is probably something like;
Anthony arms in West Mifflin (across the street from the entrance to the County Airport) on Lebanon Church road. Otto Orive is an instructor there but you will have to call him for specifics.
I think there is an indoor range in Youngwood that I know nothing about.
Training in the greater Pgh area can be had through www.fireinstitute.org.
They have one day firearms familiarization classes, 3 day (my suggestion) tactical pistol classes a few times per year. Their course schedule is posted on their website but I'm not sure if the 07 courses are listed yet.
They also offer some edged weapons training and close quarter disarms training.
Check them out .I'm very satisfied with the courses I've taken through them.
Good luck,

Re: New Here and have questions
just wanted to bring this post back up to the top. I did come acrossed a few nice indoor ranges and wanted to share a good one i really like. The place is called LongBranch Sportsmens club off of I-70 Speers Exit. Cheap to join and the indoor range is pretty nice. Although i find that it is kind of far from me, my wife and i still checked it out and are taking the NRA basic pistol class there. The people there are nice and i recommend them. thanks.

Re: New Here and have questions
For something a bit closer to you, Washington Sportsmens at the fairgrounds has an indoor range. Dormont/Mt Lebanon (http://www.mdi.net/dml/) does too and they are close to Washington (off rt 19 just past where 519 and 19 cross). Canonsburg Sportmens is close by in Meadowlands but I don't know about an indoor range there. A friend of mine takes his son to Frazier Simplex in Washington for indoor 3 postion rifle shooting and training.

WASHINGTON SPORTSMEN: Call 724-222-0651
Can't find anything for Canonsburg. You might just have to drive up there. I can give you direction if you need them. Just let me know where you are coming from in Washington.Last edited by 41 Redhawk; February 5th, 2007 at 02:23 PM.
