Chilling realization about the " snitch on your neighbor " , Terrorist Watch List
I just had a frightening realization about one possible outcome of the " snitch to the Whitehouse on your neighbor " thing , the desire by Eric Holder , Rham Emmanuel and certain members of Congress to deny anyone on the " Terror Watch List " their 2A rights , and the potential for what it could mean.
Bear with me for a minute and try to follow the reasoning and conclusion I reached . Tin Foil Helmet on ? Check , ok here we go .
We all know about the on going efforts to deny 2A rights to anyone thats on the " Terrorist Watch List " . We also know that list is incredibly error prone and people have virtually NO right or option to challenge their placement on the list .
Everyone knows about the Napolitano Domestic Terror Report from the Spring and what they said were signs of possible involvement in Domestic Terror , essentially vilifying veterans , gun owners , believers in God , believers of the ideals of the Founding Fathers , etc .
We all know that NObama , Holder , Rhambo , Holder , Sotomayor , Pelosi , Feinstein and the vast majority of the current Administration is foaming at the mouth Anti Gun .
We all know about the terrifying possibility of abuse of the new White House request to snitch on your neighbors , co workers , friends , or anyone else that says or forwards " fishy things " , " misinformation " and such about the Health Care Plan. We know the White House is compelled by Federal Law to archive all these communications , but they are also EXEMPT from Freedom Of Information Requests and The Privacy Act of 1974 .
What if they use the information submitted to the White House , to place peoples names on the Terror Watch List , eliminating their 2A Rights and essentially nuetering huge numbers of opposition from being able to mount a meaningful defense or guerilla action when they start rounding people up ?
Would any of us even know we're on the watch list until a PICS search was denied ?
I really dont want to think its possible , but every time I turn around it seems another little warning makes it self known .Si vis pacem, para bellum

I;ve posted on this before.
Considering that it came out in the Washington Post about a year ago that MD State Police were monitoring internet sites for activity and had OpenCarry.org on the list of suspected terrorist activities it wouldn't take much of a leap of faith to imagine that our participation here wouldn't be looked at in the same light. The Office of Homeland Security was set up to better coordinate this kind of information between State and Federal Agencies.
The provisions of some of the proposed Federal legislation (I believe HR 45 - Blair Holt) that allow for the Attorney General to deny firearm registration play directly into this. You have no idea that you're included on a terror watch list. You have no recourse to address the claim. You only have the ability to be denied your next firearm purchase and to surrender you currently owned firearms because you will not be able to register them either.
This all can't be chalked up to a Democrat thing either. A lot of this started coming about w/ the Patriot Act under Bush.
While I don't believe that we're "screwed" and this is the end of the free world as we know it, it does require vigilance and constant contact w/ your reps as well as membership/support of the several pro-2A groups out there.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

While I usually have on a lead helmet, much better then tin foil or aluminum, which act like an antenna, I have to disagree somewhat.
We've all been on a watch list long before this nonsense or the Patriot Act. Watch 'Enemy of the State' and when Gene Hackman says the phone company has been in bed with the government since the 40's. The internet is even more closely watched. All communications has a header that identifies where the post originated. They don't have to go by multiple screen names or any other aliases.
Personally, I think the Patriot Act was one of the worst pieces of legislation ever written. (not to exclude the other similar crap that does the same thing). But even before this they have been keeping records of everything said by everyone. When Bush said it wasn't data mining he wasn't lying. It's much worse. They keep complete records on anything that touches the phone lines, including the internet. Each of us has a file that includes every voice conversation, email sent and received and posting, including PM's.
This crap on hearsay from an unreliable source and not verified would appear to be even worse. But how reliable could it be compared to the NSA file kept on you and I?
1984? Big Brother has been keeping an eye on us much longer. Only now it's much more complete, even without the hearsay.
For just a hint of what the NSA is doing I found these links:

Geesh guys get with the program already.
Just go down to your public library - most all of them have internet - and start emailing the WH about hundreds of made up dissenters - or some liberals you know . The WH will be so overwhelmed they wont know what to do.
I plan to report dissenters like ACORN registers voters.
This could prove to be fun. Really guys, use your heads. The best information is disinformation.

Problem is that the internet at the library is video monitored, with facial recognition capabilities. Don't know if it's in real time or not.
I'd guess that with all the cameras around here they could follow you around much like in the 'Bourne Ultimatum' movie.
