Default Just found out a guy in my church was the former VP of COLT!

I was talking to an older gentleman at my church who moved to the Quakertown area after living in Vegas for some time. We started talking and he discloses to me that he was the former VP of COLT! He told me that COLT brought him in as the VP to save the company from bankrupcy in the early 80's. The first decision that he made was to scrap the 1911 and they put out a news release and people started buying the 1911's like hot cakes. My church just got a little cooler...

Ask him why they have treated civilians like shit with respect to Colt ARs, M16s, and parts for the last 40 years.

If he thinks scrapping the 1911 then putting out a release about its demise, in effect gouging the market , is a good idea then he must be an idiot, and Colt still has not survived. THey will never regain the place they had in firearms history.

On the other hand Bob Morrison was a former director of Colt , and he has turned Taurus into one if the largest firearms maker in the world putting out a 1911 that the ordinary Joe can buy, a fully loaded one at that.
