Barrel Question on XD9 SC

I have an XD9 sc and i was wanting a longer barrel for it. Not knowing if its possible i did some digging and came across this.

Is this something i could use in my Sub Compact? if not could someone point me in the right direction?

Why not look at the XD Compact. It has the short grip but the barrel of a full sized XD.

i was trying to stay away from spending another 600 bucks

I believe they are still only offering the compact grip/full size barrel in the 45

I would email them and ask.

but also:
1) what do you want out of a longer barrel
2) do you really want porting and why
