Exclamation Good Old USA Slippin towards a "Martial Law Society"

Totalitarian Dictators disassemble the right to have guns to control the population easier. America is on her way believe it or not.

This video makes me SICK! Say goodbye to our 2nd Amendment

While that does tend to piss you off, the one good thing to come from it is that there are now laws preventing the gistapo from taking your guns durring a crisses. There have been many states to pass these laws, post katrina.

I'm on the fence about Alex Jones - I've just been acquainted within 2 months.

Some stuff seems credible. Other stuff is just nuts.

I'll take this with "a grain of salt" for now...

    other opinions?

Good post, but please be advised there's been a lot of discussion on this very topic already.

There were laws to prevent this from happening before Katrina too (2nd Amendment), but that didn't stop them.
Hopefully next time someone will fight back and be a martyr for the cause.

I agree the government totally over stepped the boundaries. They disabled the 2nd amendment it is TOTALLY unconstitutional! That is why I am a college student studying Political Science so I can try to change this situation at hand.

Also Alex Jones ...He has information no one else has.

That's the convenience of the tactic "better to ask forgiveness after than permission before". Congress was quick to pass additional laws protecting homeowners against illegal seizures during emergencies. But that was after Katrina. And, here's the rub: laws are cast aside first ostensibly to save lives.

Martyr is the best case scenario. Fighting back against misguided LEOs or military personnel participating in domestic issues will only ruin your life if you're caught. As far as I know, Msrs. Weaver and Harris are the only two men alive that can claim to shooting LEOs and weren't incarcerated for it.

The government has a very poor track record of policing its own ranks. The sniper that shot unarmed civilians at Ruby Ridge wasn't prosecuted. The Idaho AG pressed charges, but the Feds got it transferred to Federal Court, where the case was dropped. The bureaucrat that gave the shoot-on-sight rules of engagement was put on administrative leave (details - more)! Administrative leave is more appropriate for someone with a record of unexcused absence or tardiness, not issuing unconstitutional shoot-on-sight orders.

    Summary:
If you want to keep your guns during an emergency, hide them. Otherwise, they will be taken by the acting government. Resist, and get shot or arrested. And, your guns will be taken anyway. Forget legal recourse or relief.

Hide them, preferably off-site. It might be necessary to have a replaceable duty gun or dummy gun in the event you're raided and couldn't otherwise conceal your full collection.

I wonder if the LEO's that were stealing the guns were the first to run and save their own asses when the SHTF leaving unarmed citizens to be victims of looters and gangs. I suppose mayor Nagin ,and Gov. Blanco blame Bush for that too.

I read a quote that someone posted on a forum, maybe this one, that would apply to people saying to hide your firearms......

"If you feel it's time to hide your firearms then it's probably the time to use them"

Take the quote for what you will......
