Countdown time...
I applied for my permit to day. I live in Chester county and I've heard it may take a little as 2 weeks.

Re: Countdown time...
It may take as little as a day, actually.
My wife applied for her permit in Chester County, early afternoon, and it was in the mailbox the next morning. I assume they looked at the application, ran a quick PSP check, printed the permit, and put it in the mail inside of about 30 minutes. The material presented herein is for informational purposes only, is not guaranteed to be correct, complete, or up to date, does not constitute legal advice and does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Meanwhile, I applied for a renewal in Philly on May 11 -- still no word.
Current CCW expires July 17, thus presenting a dilemma if no renewal by then.

Re: Countdown time...
Mine took just under a month in Franklin County.
The guy at the Sheriff's office said they were really busy this time of year (February at the time) and had a lot of permit applications to process. In reality it's probably just a bunch of BS, but if it is indeed true it's nice to know so many people are applying for them.
