And yet the sky is not falling in all those other states that permit semiautomatic actions for hunting.

Sometimes I suspect certain posters play devil's advocate just to generate renewed interest in the site.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

I've always wanted twin hood mounted M2s myself, but I'd be happy to be able to use my AR10 or M1A for large game, just like the people in the other 48 of 50 states.

I feel you. Going to have take this one on the chin, though. If we allowed semiautomatic actions for hunting here, the forests will run red with the blood of innocents.

You wouldn*t want the forests to run red with the blood of innocents would you? Nothing like selfishness and thinking only of yourself. Anyone ever stop to consider the children?

No, it's not, and your homework is to read my post and explain why you are wrong.

Considering it's completely legal in 48 of 50 states I don't need to explain anything. Your mentality is no better than the scared mom who wants to ban AR15's for everyone because it was used in a mass shooting.

Easy fix: side charge upper, barrel with no gas port.

Voilá! Single action AR15 . Or, buy a Troy PAR and call it a day, for anyone wanting an AR style rifle to hunt with in Fuddsylvania

Phils post was very good imo. The only thing I disagree with are the turrets in the sun roof.
At one time I was going to do that with one of my trucks.
