Smile Bought a New Pistol Today for CC (Pic's)

Went to one of the local shops today and bought a Ruger LCP NIB for $290.
While at the shop, I bought some 109 grain Remingont golden saber bonded JHP's for it.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get to the range and break it in. I also ordered a DeSantis pocket holster for it.

If anyone else has this pistol, Id like to hear your experience about it.

    Here's some pics:

I carry it when I cannot carry my Kimber Ultra.....that is most of the summer.

The size is right, but the trigger pull is horrible and it is a difficult gun to shoot well, unless you practice with it.

I do like it despite all of this, but just wish that Ruger would make the trigger better. I have the LC9 also and think that trigger is even worse!

Yeah, the trigger does have a long pull but once you bring it home, it does seem crisp.

What type of defensive loads do you carry in it?

I have an LCP, and it gets a fair amount of pocket time. It sometimes serves as the primary in the summer, and mostly serves as a BUG to my Walther PPQ or most often my Walther PPS. I put a crimson trace laser on it and it adds nearly nothing to the profile, but I do like having it since the sight picture is basically non existent. I will say that when carried as my primary, I feel a little naked without a bigger gun on me... but as they say.. a gun is better than no gun at all. The only other thing I throw out is to clean it often when you pocket carry.. they like to pick up lint, etc riding there.

    Enjoy it!

Looks nice. I haven;t shot one for quite a while.

I don't ever think I've noticed a warning label actually engraved into the frame of a firearm before.

I think it's a polymer Ruger thing. I had a P345 that had the same exact thing.

OP, I know a lot of people that own LCP's with nothing but great things to say about them. Nice purchase.

I use my LCP as a back up gun, Yes make sure you shoot it a lot if you plan on carry it. Takes time to get use to the trigger, fun pistol to shoot. I added a CT laser and I love it.
    Enjoy and be safe!

I had an LC9 and the warning always bothered me. Don't get me wrong, my beloved HK has a warning too, but it's underneath the trigger guard and I forget it's there. Between the loaded chamber indicator, warning label and mag disconnect I felt like the LC9 was too "safety oriented"

That said good choice on the LCP, I would like to get one one day. Plenty of people I know bought one and is the ONLY reason they CC all the time. If anyone tells you a .380 isn't powerful enough, shoot them with 6 rounds and ask them again

(JK...do not shoot people for this reason only)
