Any good shops in/near Altoona?
Im headed to Altoona in a few hours for a three day conference. Any good shops out that way?
"The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government-and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws." (Edward Abbey, "The Right to Arms," Abbey's Road [New York, 1979])
I have my rifle. Do you?

Pioneer is on 2nd in Juniata, near the locomotive shops. If you stop, you need to be prepared to put up with Bob's piss-poor mouthy attitude.
Last I was in there Bob was talking to a regular about selling out, and the only thing standing in the way was his finding a buyer at the right price.
Just a minor detail.

That’s funny what you had to say about Bob’s attitude, but truth be told he has been in business for over 50 years, just image all the BS he has dealt with in that time frame. I recall my first interaction with him when I went into his shop back when I was like 10 years old and he said if you aren’t going to buy anything get out or something to that effect. Now to fast forward to present time ’’36 years old’’ I laugh when I think back on that situation and will tell you I have bought more guns off him than anywhere else with no regrets. So if your looking for a buddy you might try joining a social club, but if your looking to buy a quality firearm from a Reputable business whom stands behind there product then Pioneer is a great place to shop...
