Remington 700 SPS Varmint - Dick's Veresion

Dick's sporting goods sells a Remington 700 SPS in .308 that is made just for them. They tell me that it is the same as the Remington version, except the stock is green instead of black. They have a rifle/scope package for $599 and say that they will have a sale within a couple of months that will cut that price down to $499. The scope does not have a manufacturer's name on it & is made in china.

Does anyone know about this package & is it a good price?

I picked one up at Dick's last year for 497.00. My rifle is in .223 caliber. Outside of a minor trigger mod to lighten it up, the rifle performs well and is ideal for me to use on critters. Being able to use the same ammo as my ARs was another plus for me. BTW, even though the scope is a cheapo, it still performs well. FWIW, I say wait for the sale and get it.
