A very good friend had purchased a Para Ordance 1911 .45ACP, TAC-S. last
week. Well to make a long story short, He and the Pistol arrived at the West
Shore Sportsman, Range 1, this am. I had a chance to look it over before we
started throwing rounds downrange. I liked what i saw, and the field stripping
was just as easy as a Sig or Glock. It was a standard Grip, it did have a wooden
grip but my friend likes the Pachmyar. Novak Sights. Targets were set at 10, 15,
25 yards (12" Paper Plates) and last, Steel Plate hanging at 50 Yds. Ammunition
was Winchester, 230 gr FMJ and PMP(Pretoria Metal Pressing, S.A.), 220 gr FMJ.
The action was D.A.O., on the TAC-S. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a Tack
Driver at 10 and 15 yds. 25 yds Off Hand, Groups stayed in center area of the
plate. Hitting the steel plate consistently at 50 yds was another bonus which
I attribute to the "SWEET", and i do mean "SWEET", Trigger Pull. Alas, I see
certain funds being diverted from one intended purchase, for a TAC-S. I need
another .45 acp, to bring into my Sig and Colt Family. If you have the chance,
Try it, You will like it.
