    Default 32 mag. revolver

I'm thinking of getting a Charter Arms 32mag snubie for the wife who is a bit recoil sensitive. What do you folks say.

Why not a Ruger SP101 in .327 Mag? You can shoot a variety of .32 cal, including .32H&R out of it and the added weight will more than tame the recoil.

There's nothing wrong with Charter Arms, I just think you get more versatility out of the SP101.

The Ruger is definitely a better built gun, but the Charter will win the price battle for sure.

Nothing wrong with the .32H&R Mag, its doesn't get the proper recognition that it deserves. And in the right guns(S&W, Ruger, Dan Wesson, Freedom Arms), they can be loaded to their true potential.

Thanks guys,i read up on them on gunblast and i thought it would be a good sd gun, small and light, also it is said that the 32mag is close in power to a standard 38sp but without as much recoil.

You may have better luck finding a Charter .32 Mag over a Ruger .327. I have not seen any .327's. You need to reload the .32 Mag to get it to it's best performance. It's not always the hot load that's the best.

Thanks wvbob,i want her to be able to defend herself and not have to worry about recoil, the 32mag should make enough noise to let a BG know his target is armed and at close range 7yds or less will hurt if hit. I will get to handle the Charter Arms 32mag and a Tarus 32mag soon although i have questions about the Tarus reliability.

I got my wife a Charter Arms Patriot .327, she loves it for the VERY manageable recoil but substantial hitting power. Bearing in mind that she is 5'2" with small hands and who's favorite pistol is the Taurus PT101 .40 S&W but doesn't like the Tokarev or any Makarov variant.

We've had the Charter Arms for quite some time not with out single issue. Great revolver, especially for the price.

    Just my .02
