    Default Gun belts?

I just ordered a Minotaur MTAC IWB holster rig from Comp-Tac. What belt would you guys recommend to go along with it? I normally wear jeans, but I do wear dress pants on occasion as well.

On a related note, how many sizes larger do I need to buy pants/belt to use with the holster? This is my first IWB.

Same size as normal even though the IWB holster obviously adds inches my waist? That doesn't seem to make much sense.

I haven't tried every gun belt out there, but I've tried quite a few. The best one I have come across, and use now, is Mitch Rosen's belt, his full contoured. It's not the cheapest, true, but it's held up better than any other one I've used and is the most comfortable of them all. I highly recommend his belt.

the gun isnt that thick. and you want the belt tight enough to pull it into your body, I usally wear my belt tighter when I IWB than otherwise, cause without it all it has to do is keep my pants up.

I am one belt hole larger w/IWB and G23 or 1911 than with OWB

It doesn't make as much difference as your predicting.

Some places say add 1-2" some places say to order normal size.

As long as you order between normal and +2" you should be fine.

That will depend on how tight you wear your pants now. If your pants are tight w/o the IWB you may have to go up a size.

I normally wear my pants loose in the waist so I don't have to change anything if I'm carrying IWB.

I've always read that you add 2" to your waist size for buying a belt. So, if you are a 38 waist, you should order a 40 belt. I recently bought a Blackhawk CQC gun belt, and that held pretty much true.

FWIW, I wear a 32 or 34" waist size jeans/pants. I bought a 38" belt. When carrying OWB, I am on the middle of 7 holes spaced 3/4" apart. When carrrying IWB with my Comp-tac MTAC holster, I am on the next to last holes. Thus, when carrying IWB, I need to add 1.5" to my belt.

Also, I purchased a belt from Rafters Gun Leather and I absolutely love it!
