Pa . sportsman's firearm license??
I am about to go to the county treasurer's office to apply for the sportsmans firearms license, does anyone knows what kind of paperwork they require for the license?
I would like to take my Revolver with me when i go hunting, because of the still unsolved hunting murder that happened up here about a year or so ago.
Thankds for any info you might have .

IIRC, No special info needed (basically the same as when you get a hunting license, your drivers license).
If you have a LTCF you do not need a Sportsmans Firearm license.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

SUGGESTION...... if you are going to EVER carry your firearm other than during hunting season, get it for PERSONAL PROTECTION.. and not just the sportsman... that restricts your right to carry at other times if you so desire....
ONLY my opinion....

If you want to only get the sportsmens permit, make sure you bring your hunting license too. All I had last year was the hunting license number and the almost didn't give it to me.

Get the LTCF. A little more application a lot more benefit.

I must agree with the others here. The sportman's permit is only good while hunting. If caught carrying concealed outside of the hunting area, you're in for trouble. Better to get the LTCF, this way you're good to go everywhere.
