Talking If you wanted to cancel your LTCF?

Not that I want to do it, but it would be neat just to see the reaction and I've never read of anyone doing it. If I walked into the Sheriff's office and told them I want to cancel my LTCF can they cancel it? I'd imagine it'd be done like a revocation, but at the same time I'd think they'd need a reason to revoke.

It'd be funny as hell to walk in and say "I want to cancel my LTCF, because I've turned into a liberal, pussy boy that's thinks my gun is going to jump out of it's holster and kill me in my sleep."

    or

"When you gave me this thing it smelled like chicken, now it smells like ass. If I can't get a new one I want this stinking thing cancelled."

I wonder if it can be done, and I'd enjoy reading some funny reasons.

The UFA makes provisions for revoking, but not just cancelling. So I don't think it could be done without revoking for a valid, lawful reason

Just hand it in to the Sheriff. He'll do whatever administrative procedures is necessary to effectively cancel it. Probably by revoking citing the licensee's voluntary returning of the license. ...who'd be of standing to challenge it if the licensee turned it in of his/her own free will.

But then....if you re-changed your mind at some later date...and applied for it...would it show a previous LTCF being revoked?...which could be a problem.

If one renounces citizenship to the USA, will one's LTCF still be valid?

I know I'm just throwing this out there but I'm deep thinking.

Lets say you had an accident and lose all prior memory of your previous life. You want this bad, evil LTCF erased from the system. They decide to go the revoke route and revoke it.

You have another accident and your previous life memory returns, but you don't have any memory of your life after the first accident. If you had medical proof of the memory losses, and it was revoked based on you being the person you're not now, do you think they'd have to reissue it?

    if i were the sheriff...

you: "i want to cancel my LTCF"

    me: "are you sure?"

    you: "yep"

me: "okay, well that is evidence that you desire to be less self-reliant and exhibit less personal responsibility. therefore, i must conclude that your character is such that you are a danger to society. so, your LTCF is hereby revoked under the 'character and reputation' clause. so, you no longer have an LTCF. glad i could be of service."

Alright, Identity theft happens everyday. Lets say someone steals your identity and is able to obtain a LTCF in your name. You want it cancelled but you also want a LTCF.

Once you become aware of the fraudulently obtained LTCF, you probably have 30 days to petition for review the grant of the license to the Court of Common Pleas on the basis that it is void ab initio (based on the fact that the license may only be granted upon accuracy of the information, (6109(g), I think) and perhaps the court can 'vacate the grant'' or declare void' or whatever the term. There's nothing written in to allow revocation here.

Alternately, there's nothing to bar you from applying for multiple LTCFs, is there?
