Default 9mm Glock conversion barrel to 22 caliber

Has anyone had any experience with conversion barrels changing a Glock 17 (9mm) or Glock 26 (also 9mm) into a .22 caliber long rifle cartridge?

Are magazines available to handle the 22 caliber rounds?

Yes as was posted, Advantage arms is supposed to be the best conversion kit at this time.

They recommend using only Remington Golden bullets or equal. I use any type I feel like it as doing malfunction clearances is a good thing as far as i'm concerned.

I bought 2 additional mags but don't remember pricing.

Delivery time was very long 12+ weeks so see if you can find anyone who has these in stock.

Accuracy isn't what I'd like but I usually shoot at the broad side of a barn and am consistantly hitting it at 10 yards, .

The kits are frame size specific so let them know what pistol you want it for.

I have an Advantage Arms kit for my G26 and I love it. They recommend using Remmington Golden bullets which cost $16.97 at Walmart for 550 rounds. At that price I normally fire over 200 rounds per range session with about 5-10 malfunctions. It is doesn't have Glock level reliability but it really doesn't need to.

CCI Minimags do run better in it but the extra cost is simply not worth it ($7 for 100). And as 27hand said it gives you good practice on clearing malfunctions.

One thing I like to use the kit for is to practice with the Tactical Response Dot target. It helps you to focus on trigger control and front sight focus.
