    Default Billary Clinton's replacement

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/01232009..._ho_151502.htm'

Liberal Democrats have been wary of her because she ran for re-election with the backing of the National Rifle Association, opposed the federal TARP program to rescue banks, and has been less than enthusiastic about gay marriage.
Is this actual, honest to goodness, good news???

Certainly better to have her in that Senate seat than Hellary clinton.

If it pisses off Carolyn McCarthy she can't be all bad, although if Schumer backed her you have to wonder.

If it pisses off liberals in general, then I'm happy.

    That did catch my eye.

    i certainly expected worse.

she seems to have a pro-gun history.

but now she is saying she will support some gun control in what is likely an attempt to appease the NY gun grabbers.

so, the question will be...which way will she actually vote in the future?

on the plus side, she is from a conservative upstate district so there is a good chance she will be replaced by either a republican or pro-gun democrat in the house.

i'd say it is about the best we could have hoped for.
