    Default BB CAPS

    Hi:
Im looking for information as to where I can buy some 22 ca. BB caps. They are smaller then a 22 short and sometimes used at an indoor range. Can't seem to find any in my area, Schuylkill county. Any information would be helpfull. Thanks in advance, short fuse.

What you are looking for is called a Folbert cartridge, or Parlor cartridge, http://www.oldammo.com/july04.htm

Some rifles and pistols took a 2 part folbert, meaning the pellet was up front and the "Shell" was behind it, when the Shell was ignited the percussion his the pellet and propelled it.

You might look at Ramset shot, not sure what the color would be, but there is one that is very small... about 1/4 inch long. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...ctId=100187029

    Have fun!

I'm pretty sure Midway sells them. I've also gotten them at gun shows.
They usually cost about $12-13 a hundred.
Very low noise as they only contain priming compound behind a .22 caliber ball.
Good for backyard pests, especially if you keep the muzzle inside the window.
Aguila also makes a similar product.

.22 CB and BB Cap - used to come in cap, short, long and long rifle lengths.

It is supposed to be ball/bullet over the primer. Careful though.. today's CB ammo has some powder in it and ballistics are close to the "nonCB" cartridge specs. BB caps have the potential to have powder too.

CCI makes 22 short cb loads. I've shot these in numerous rifles with good results. Advertised muzzle velocity of 710fps, around 650fps at 50 yards. They also make the same load in 22long. Might want to consider them.
