Re: WTS: Century Cetme
can you give more info on this??
Bolt Gap?
Ground/Unground Bolt?
Stamped or Milled Receiver?
Have you shot it much? Does it have any of Century's issues?
Thanks!Last edited by LorDiego01; February 26th, 2007 at 01:26 PM.

You will find anything you could ever want to possibly know about Cetmes at www.CetmeRifles.com
Bolt Gap, Ground/Unground bolt is very important, because the rifle could potentionaly be unsafe.==============

Re: WTS: Century Cetme
Looking back on this thread, dont get discouraged on buying the Cetme by our responses.
Cetmes are awesome battle rifles, but since they were made my Century, some of them have a lot of issues. Most issues are easy to fix, and do not require a gunsmith to do so. This Cetme is also going for a great price, especially if it has an unground bolt and the bolt gap is within spec.
They also take HK mags, which as far as last week could be found 50 for $50. And you just cant beat that. Also take into account that you should only fire military surplus ammo out of it (7.62) and dont use factory .308.==============

Re: WTS: Century Cetme
.308 factory and 7.62 are essentially the same thing.
The 7.62 stuff has thicker brass, and the Cetme is really rough on the brass. The problem with factory .308 and its thinner brass is that it might break inside the barrel and the rifle might explode in your face if you fire the next shot. I think this has something to do with the flutes and the gas operating system.
I've put about 20 rounds of factory .308 through mine without a problem, but now I only use milsurp stuff.
Please note that Im just regurgitating what I've learned from the Cetme masters at www.cetmerifles.com, and I really dont understand this stuff. As always, do your own research and make your own conclusions.==============
