Guy from Langhorne wants 2nd amendment repealed
Just an FYI, Alexander J. Campbell from Langhorne, Pa wrote a guest op in the Courier Times today, he lists himself as CMSGT, USAF, retired, veteran on WWII & the Korean War & a member of the PA Air National Guard.
He wrote a lengthy & in depth article about what the 2nd amendment meant by miltias & why we don't need them anymore, how it only was meant to be for muzzleloaders, how today's "militias" are just paranoid, authority resisting,& disgruntled misfits who hate & fear all government & we have nothing at all in common with the militias of yesterday. His opinion is when the National Guard was established in 1903 the 2nd amendment became irrelevent & should've been repealed.
He talks about the extremely distructive power of the .223 caliber even though it's small, & it goes on & on.
It's worth a look & if you wish to refute his article that would be good as well.Jesus is Lord !

He also wrote an article on May 1, 2012 right here:
http://www.phillyburbs.com/news/loca...eabfe6023.html
Great quote by him in that article:
2. Candidates for any national office -- president, vice president, senator or representative must:
a. Pass a standard psychological examination.
b. Pass a basic test in American history, with emphasis on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
c. Demonstrate basic knowledge of current world events which may impact the United States
Guess he changed his mind?Last edited by bamboomaster; April 10th, 2013 at 02:21 PM. Reason: Updated link to a second article

Re: Guy from Langhorne wants 2nd amendment repealed
I guess this idiot never actually read the Second Amendment well enough to realize that the Second Amendment does not grant us the right to keep and bear arms, but instead protects our natural born right to keep and bear arms.
And if the Second Amendment only applies to muskets, then I guess he also believes the Fourth Amendment doesn't apply to computers, phones and the cloud and that the First Amendment doesn't apply to TV, radio, and the Internet.
After all, those things also didn't exist when the First and Fourth Amendments were written...so how can the First and Fourth Amendments protect them as well if the Second Amendment does not protect modern firearms?

If he wants to use that kind of logic then the 1st amendment was just as old.
Tell him he is no longer allowed to express his opinion. Hey! same with the 13th amendment.
