    Default FS:1903 Springfield

FS: 1903 Springfield, bought from CMP North, comes with certificate of authenticity from CMP,serial #1,250,XXX,bore is VG with MW of 1.0-1.5,shoots better than I can,Greek return with "B" stamped on magazine floorplate, stock has small piece missing under front barrel band and also has usual dings associated with service, handguard has row of little holes running down sight groove(landing lights, thumbtacks,???). Metal is in VG shape with usual patina.

Let me be specific-you need a new stock, can be found at shows or on Ebay. A good woodworker could probably do an "arsenal repair" at home, but I ain't that good. The missing piece is small but needs to be there to hold the front barrel band. Shame too, it was a 1903A1 stock. The rifle will shoot nice tight groups,at least it did for me.

CMP is listing these for $500,if they have them. There's something on the website about no more after they run out of current stock until 2009. I'm asking $300,with another $100 for wood or some DIY repair you'll have a nice 1903.

Pics on request or I can meet within reason for FTF.
