S&W Model 99, .45 cal semi- auto
Anyone have any experience with this weapon?
I saw an ad in the paper and before I look at it, I want to know everyone's experience with this weapon.
Is it a good Conceiled Carry weapon and would you recommend a shoulder holster?

Re: S&W Model 99, .45 cal semi- auto
The SW99 is kin to the Walther P99, a GREAT handgun. Walther doesn't make one in .45, and S&W's version in .45 is slightly larger than a normal 9mm or .40 P99/SW99. The SW99 in 45 that I shot felt really good in my hands (as I would expect being a Walther-based frame).
Based on the sculpting of the frame, I'd say it is very concealable unless your carry method and body are EXTREMELY sensitive to gun size. Mags might be a bit on the expensive side as I don't think S&W makes this gun anymore due to their focus on the M&P line, but by all means go check it out and see if it fits you. It's a qaulity handgun.
As for the shoulder rig, that depends on your body size, carry attire, carry purpose and the rig itself. It might be a little big if you're on the small or skinny side, but only you can really judge that.
