Guns in your safe
Does anyone get to a point that you have so many guns in your safe that you just dont pay attention to certain ones.. I mean you can only take so many to range at a time. There are guns in my safe that I didn't know I still had. Then, when I sell one I still have two or three holsters that are clogging my safe. I know.... Its a tough life but someone has to do it...

Re: Guns in your safe
I make it a point of not being a gun collector. I shoot all my guns (not many) regularly... If I don't shoot them I sell them...

Re: Guns in your safe
I have my favorites but do try to keep shooting all others at least once a year, if not more often.
Too many holsters? If they are leather just stitch them together as a saddle and buy a horse. Not a problem. My Feedback - http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.ph...ight=stainless

Re: Guns in your safe
Between packing up for a group shoot and looking them over, I took all mine out a month or so ago.
I couldn't remember where they went when I tried to put them back!
It's like a puzzle - scopes, cocking knobs, bolts, and such mean that they had to be placed in specific slots in order to fit properly.
I should'a taken a pic and hung it as a guide! LOL
I have too many to carry in two hands, but not enough to say I have too many.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Guns in your safe
Do what I have been doing for the last 50 plus years. If your safe gets too crowded or you more guns than safe room. Go out and buy another safe or two.
The oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!

Re: Guns in your safe
I shoot, but I also collect.
I collect in order to have trade material so I can obtain more guns I want to shoot.
I also sell shooters to buy collectables.
Confused yet?
Earlier in the year I bought a hunting rifle on the cheap from a co-worker, I traded that rifle up and eventually turned it into a Finnish captured Russian SVT40.
This week I sold two hunting rifles I bought at income tax refund time from guys looking for quick cash, I sat on them til now, this weekend I'll go pick up the OPap I have a local dealer holding for me.
I buy and sell to upgrade my own collection, but I also shoot my collection.
Just like when I am riding my antique Harley, people always comment, Wow, I can't believe you ride that.
To which I answer, Well, the seat is too small to eat dinner on.
What I'm getting at is you can collect and shoot, and I see nothing wrong with selling guns especially if you are doing so to upgrade.

Re: Guns in your safe
I know whats in the safe and all have been shot, now some havent been out in awhile but they are there growing in value, plus as interests change what sits up front changes. it never hurts to take the old ones out and shoot and rember the times you had with them before.
