    Default My first AR...

So, I finally built my first AR-15 style rifle. Everything went well, aside from lead times! I bought the lower LAST JANUARY, but took forever to get the BCM upper I wanted. Alas, here she is!

    16" BCM Midlength Upper
    BCM FA BCG
    BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle
    LaRue Fixed BUIS
    Stag Lower
    Magpul CTR stock
    Aimpoint CompM2

Still need to grab a sling.

Looks great! From the pics I wouldn't guess it was your first time building one.
I've been considering building one myself... how did the build go other than taking forever for parts? And would you mind telling us what this beautiful machine cost you?

Hey! I had to drag that quilt to the table to give the rifle something to stand on/against, lol.

Building it was much easier then I anticipated. I was nervous, even after reading how easy they are to build, but for no reason.

I bought the upper receiver group assembled from BCM, all I had to do was put the handguards on.

For the lower, if you use Brownell's guide it really couldn't be easier. They tell you all the issues you might have, as well as how to avoid them (taping things to avoid cosmetic damage, etc) - http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=1...An_AR-15_Video

Cost wasn't too bad. The most expensive piece was the upper, which was $500 something, but I think their prices actually dropped a few bucks now (now $425). Without the optic it was right around $1k.

    Nice gun.

I just built a lower using an Aero Precision lower.

I plan on buying a mid length 16" complete upper from BCM too.

I have the same CTR buttstock on my lower and am curious what hardware you'll use to attach the sling to the buttstock.

I want my sling to mounted off the side of the buttstock.

    Keep me updated.
