Some home grown AK camo
So I recently picked up a Polish AK74 and it was kind of rough in the finish dept. and the receiver just had some crappy black paint on it that was coming off all over. So I decided that I was going to refinish it and make it look better, so I started doing some research and found John Norrell's moly resin. It's sounds like a great product and very durable but requires an airbrush which I don't have nor did I have much interest in getting one just to finish my AK. So doing more searching my google-fu turned up Krylon camo spray paint so off to Wally world I go to pick some up. I got ODgreen and desert tan in Krylon and brown and black in rustoleum and grabbed a matte finish clear. After some good ol' CRC brakleen and some blue paper towels for degreasing, I was spraying some color, here's how it turned out;

Re: Some home grown AK camo
Norrells and KG are much better than Krylon...even though your camo job looks good. Take a look at Aervoe paint as well...better durability compared to Krylon.

Thanks guys, glad it turned out the way it did, it's my first one.
Aubie515- I checked out the Aervoe paint you mentioned and when this one wears out that's what I'll be using for the next time, Thanks.

If someone said to me, "Dude, I'm going to get some spray paint from WalMart and paint my gun," I'd be like:
But you, sir, have proven me naive.

Thanks, I guess I wasn't happy with the way the rifle looked and I got bored one day and "fixed" it.
And just for the record I almost never say "Dude"
