Obama's Teleprompter goes rogue
Does he really have great Oratory skills or can he simply read (he surely lacks any situational awareness)

WASHINGTON – Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs
into an address at a St. Patrick's Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just given.
Cowen was set to speak twice at the White House on Tuesday night because there were two different parties going on at the executive mansion. No matter — he would give the same speech to the two different audiences.
But Cowen was 20 seconds into his second address when it dawned on him that he was giving word for word the speech that Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.
Cowen stopped and looked back at the president to say, "That's your speech."
Obama laughed and returned to the podium to offer what might have been Cowen's remarks. In doing so, President Obama thanked President Obama for inviting everyone over.Of every one hundred men in battle, ten should not even be there. Eighty, are nothing but targets. Nine are the real fighters, we are lucky to have them since they make the battle. Ah, but the one—one is the Warrior—and he brings the others home. —Heracletus

Re: Obama's Teleprompter goes rogue
I would almost give my left testicle to see someone hack into the teleprompter and type something like "I am completely incompitent and really snowed you suckers over. You never saw this coming, now I am giving it to you gangland style. Wave to China as we fly by on the Socialism train." How wonderful would that be?

Anyone find a video of the actual speech? "The President Obama thanked President Obama for inviting everyone over." Sounds like a joke, but I'd like to see it for myself.. lol

More from The Guardian (UK):
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...r-teleprompter
When the Irish taoiseach received his invitation to the White House to speak alongside Barack Obama on St Patrick's Day, it was his big moment to shine on the world stage.
But when Brian Cowen began his address last night, his speech had a horribly familiar ring to it. And no wonder: he had been repeating exactly what Obama had said minutes earlier.
The autocue was apparently the cause of this embarrassing case of deja vu. Rather than being ready with Cowen's speech, the teleprompting machine simply reloaded the one Obama had just given.
Cowen was around 20 seconds into the wrong speech before he realised his gaffe. He stopped suddenly and looked back at the president to say: "That's your speech."
Obama laughed and returned to the podium to offer what might have been Cowen's remarks. In doing so, Obama thanked Obama for inviting everyone over.
Obama is becoming known as the "tele-prompter president" for his reliance on the prompting screens, which retract when speeches are finished.
Although used for more than half a century, the device was previously employed mainly for set-piece speeches. The current president, however, often uses them for making small introductory statements at the beginning of press conferences.
BWAAAA-HAAAA-HAAAA!
You gotta love it. Even a liberal hack newspaper like The Guardian tells it like it is. Too bad the American MSM lacks the same courage.

If some one was to hack into the teleprompter, please let it say...
