Default Open plea to all conservative/libertarians:

The Democratic Party has been hijacked by the far-left, socialist faction in America.

The Republican Party, unfortunately, has been hijacked by party 'moderates' who flip-flop back and forth and haven't been held to task when they act, let's say, "less than conservative."

After this election, most all of the liberal Republicans have been removed from power. Let's use this as an opportunity to regain our freedom based beliefs.

I am especially asking the disgruntled, stay-at-home Republicans and those who voted third party. Let's get involved. Let's make it America's party again. The antidote to socialism is freedom, personal responsibility and capitalism.

This won't be easy. The Republican establishment is well-insulated from grassroots change. I wanted to get involved at a local level. For me to do this, I would have to wait for a primary election in my county (2 years from now), then run for a seat, and then win, only to have minimal influence.

    That is ridiculous.

We need to form strong groups, similar to moveOn.org and others, that avalanche the GOP with DEMANDS to change. Stop supporting and nominating those who don't stand for the "strong colors" that Reagan spoke of.

The socialist Democrats have a great grassroots movement. How many Republicans have taken into their homes out-of-state election workers? The Democrats are always having community meetings and outreach, spreading discontent and class warfare. We need to organize and spread the message that we are the TRUE party of Hope. WE are the "YES YOU CAN" party. The Democrats are the "You can't, unless we help" party.

We have the message that few Americans can disagree with if it is presented properly. We need to get the message out in the right way, and make people proud to be individual Americans again, Americans who can accomplish anything they want if they work for it and take risks. Americans who aren't content to live within the mediocrity of life in a socialist country, a life where there ARE limits to how far you can go.

Now's our chance. I'm not asking those who have voted third party to just start voting (R) because they belong to the non-Dem party. I'm asking your help to change the Republican party into the party that you would be drawn to as a strong, freedom-loving American.

    Let's get something going!

Why ask for a third party's help to change the Republican party? Although I'm not registered, I already have a party that I'm drawn to. Why would I help fix your party when mine isn't broken?

Honestly, because most conservatives who identify themselves as Republican probably are looking for many of the same things you are.

And, not to be rude or anything, but realistically, third parties are for the most part irrelevant. The Republican party could be fixed long, long before any of the third parties will rise into any kind of relevancy.

Help out with the Republican party between elections, and if you're not happy with it, vote your third party... but we need ideas LIKE YOURS to be heard in the Republican party.

    i disagree to an extent.

the republican party was hijacked by neocons...people who do not define "conservative" by either political or economic standards, but only by social standards. they then employ a very liberal use of government (both politically and economically) to enforce their social conservativeness on the country.

that caused a backlash...and then, yes, you got a nominee who was more centrist.

but i don't see it as a centrist hijacking of the party as much as a backlash against the neocon hijacking of the party.

frankly, other than perhaps ron paul, i can't find a true (i.e., political) conservative anywhere in either major party. many of the people who are held up as "true conservatives" are actually social conservatives who seem to want to continue the liberal use of government to mandate their social conservative agenda.

Let's use this as an opportunity to regain our freedom based beliefs.
i'm all for it. but you gotta understand and accept that real freedom means being tolerant. allowing people to control their own bodies, allowing people to do what they want with their own money, allowing people to marry whoever they want, etc.

I am especially asking the disgruntled, stay-at-home Republicans and those who voted third party. Let's get involved. Let's make it America's party again.
i did. i campaigned for ron paul. i voted for ron paul. the republican party rejected him. thus, i went back to voting libertarian.

Now's our chance. I'm not asking those who have voted third party to just start voting (R) because they belong to the non-Dem party. I'm asking your help to change the Republican party into the party that you would be drawn to as a strong, freedom-loving American.

maybe i will. i am honestly torn between that and getting more involved with the libertarian party. which wall do i want to bang my head against?

Well, this is where I stopped reading. Your party is irrelevant to me, and as the statement implies, so are your values. Not to be rude, or anything.
