Default Am I allowed to posses a firearm?

Hey guys, I read the sticky on this subject but I still have questions.

It has been 11 years since my misdomenor drug charge max penalty of 1 year. Does anyone have experience in knowing if I have a chance of getting my gun rights restored?

I know it says "a license shall not be giving to anyone convictaded of an offense under The Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act."

........but is that it? Done for life? Can I even possess a gun ever?

I am on the straightened path now and have been for a while, I take pride in being a law abiding citizen. I would like to be a regular American with all of his rights intact. Thanks for your input guys.

"Any Pennsylvania drug conviction under the CSDDCA is prohibiting for a license to carry".

The exact wording on the face of the application.

    Interpret it as you like.

I know, I'm in the process, I just wanted to try and see if someone had any success.

Yea, thats for a CCW. I'm wondering if I can even touch a gun ever again in my life. I would like the CCW also but...I'll take what I can get at this point.

^^^this. Too much risk involved to trust it to amateur pundits. Talk to a good gun lawyer.

Agreed. Was just hoping to hear that there was some truth to the "10 years and they will work with you" thing.

Having gone through this I can tell you that possession of marijuana for personal use and possession of drug paraphernalia are not prohibiting but you can't get an LTCF. Intent to possess a controlled substance (simple possession) can be a little tricky. Multiple convictions for simple possession could be prohibiting but if you only have one you're probably clear. Also was this conviction in Pa? My advice is worth what you paid for it so talk to a lawyer.
