    Default Kel Tec PF9 IWB Holsters

    Just purchased a Kel Tec PF9. I am looking for an IWB holster to CC with it.

    I have had experience with Comp TAC MTAC holster and really liked it, but am open to other brands.

    I have looked into...

    - Crossbreed
    - Comp TAC
    - Desantis
    - GALCO
    - Pro Carry HD from the Holster Store

    What do you all have experience with for those with a PF9?

    I don't want a pocket holster, ankle holster or OWB holster. Just looking for IWB holsters for the Kel Tec PF9., I'm about 6 foot tall and around 245lbs. I carry right side around the 3 to 4 O'clock position. Not sure if I'd be comfortable with small of back or not.

    Thanks

    I carry my PF9 in one of these:

    I've had good luck with it and it didn't include any mortgage payments.

    I bought an all-kydex IWB from Paul Giannaula at www.pjholster.com. It was $45 delivered. Took maybe two weeks to get it, IIRC. Simple but it works.

    What do you think about reinforced mouths on holsters? If you don't mind a holster that doesn't stay open once you draw I have a recommendation;

    And my PAFOA review on it;

    For a gun as slim and light as the PF9 I think you'd be very pleased. It truly is like not wearing a holster. And for less than $30 you'd be remiss not to try it.

    Yup, have the exact same thing for my pf9. Works good for me.

    At first I carried mine in a Don Hume holster. It fit well, but I didn't like the was the gun was up against my skin or rubbed an undershirt.

    I've since switched to an N82Tactical Micro Compact holster. I can carry my PF9 all day and not feel a lick of discomfort. I have the original model at the bottom of the page. They also make one that will accommodate a laser.

    To be honest I purchased a Soft Armor I believe it was called holster to fit the XDm9 I used to own. I still had it because it fit my Walter ppk bb gun I have. So I modified it on Friday for IWB usage for the PF9. The gun fits nicely inside, but when drawn the holster collapses. Which makes it nearly impossible to reholster. However it does the trick till I get a real holster made for the PF9.

    So to answer your question I prefer one that won't collapse when pistol is drawn.

    Check out Theisholsters.com. I have one of Tommy's custom holsters for my PF9. It is as good or better than the Crossbreeds I have. Tommy's personal service is also very good.
