    Default tell me about spanish 6.35's

    i recently purchased a paramount .25 acp semi auto pistol its made in spain and kinda looks like a ruby pistol no markings of maker on it that i can find other than paramount i read a few companys made under this name but none are on my gun like it supposedly should have any and all info would be great on this thank you all. oh and it has 12 slide serations if it helps identify it they are all straight not curved like some of the rubys i have seen

    Pictures might help. Also have you taken the grips off or otherwise disassembled it to see if there are any markings under anything?

    My initial research is it's an Eibar, a pre revolution Spanish pistol made by any one of many small shops in Eibar, Spain. The Ruby's you mention are the most common Eibars or Eibar style pistols, but there are many others. Paramount seems to be a product of Retolaza Hermanos of Eibar Spain, who I am not overly familiar with.

    If it is in fact a Ruby, or other Eibar variety pistol it should not only have manufacturers information on it somewhere, it should also Spanish proof marks which can be used to trace it's history aand exportation in a general sense.

    thank you i do not think it is a ruby but its shape is similar to one which is why i mentioned the ruby style of pistol ill see if i can get a pic of it but it is doubtfull i have no digital camera just crappy cell phone i will check under the grips on it for any more info on it when i get a chance
