Yeah, of course it'll work! Nothing else has, so this is a SURE FIRE way to keep firearms out of schools!

Not only will it keep fire arms out of school, it will also save parents money.
The local school is debating uniforms. now we have to buy one set of clothes for school. and one set for whenn thier not in school.troll Free. It's all in your mind.

Re: School uniforms prevent firearms in schools
That's absolutely ridiculous. I went to 2 schools which required a uniform(Massanutten Military Academy and Delone Catholic High School) and with the tucked in shirt it was pretty easy to hide cell phones and all kinds of other shit inside the shirt with the belt keeping it from falling down into your pants. It wouldn't be hard to conceal a weapon like that, therefore shooting down that reason for getting kids to wear em. I kinda liked the uniforms, saves time not having to decide what to wear in the morning. =P

Re: School uniforms prevent firearms in schools
my local school district has recently put a dress code in place... I agree that in the higher grades its a good thing, it sucks having it start K - 6 as kids grow so fast that its an all new wardrobe every single year.
I don't know about a reduction in guns but it will definately reduce the shit that kids wear to school, thats for sure!
I keep hearing the "we have to buy 2 sets of clothes" line and it always surprises me. We always had "school" and "play" clothes though at least middle school, mom and dad didn't want us screwing up our nice jeans and shirts by playing outside in them. The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

It`s a good thing. I can tell you from having kids in Parochial school at the K-6 level ALL benefits outweigh a small inconvenience.
At least next year when I`m down at the school I won`t have to see the wannabe gangbangers and hoes. I hope it also applies to school sponsored activities.
