Siting irons
Hi all, I have a quick question about siting irons. Usually, I fire 5-10 rounds aimed at the bullseye from a solid, stationary platform; starting at 25m, then 50m, and finally at 100m. After I see where they hit, I make the necessary adjustments to the sites. I know the siting will be different at these lengths due to the irons being above the barrel. Although I am curios, does anyone have a different/better way to do it? Thanks in advance!
Side note: As I'm not using any sort of optics, I didn't think it was necessary to post this on the Optics Board. If I should have, let me know and I'll delete this thread and repost it over there."We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." -Benjamin Franklin

Re: Siting irons
Your method is fine but I wouldn't shoot more than five rounds per group.

Re: Siting irons
3 rounds will usually give you a good idea. Then again, the only rifle I have with iron sights is my 30.06 with see-through scope rings, so I don't even get up to make any adjustments... Iron sights dead on at 50 yards, scope dead on at 100 yards...
