Concealed Speedloader Carry
Just stumbled onto a neat little trick I haven't seen before while I was doing some re-arranging on my bat-belt;
These work great for holding a pair of speed loaders in a way that is both discreet, and fast to get to. I have a model similar to the one pictured, and it holds two HKS 586 loaders perfectly, stacked on top of each other. I just keep my phone in my pocket.
Thought Id throw it out there.

Re: Concealed Speedloader Carry
Cool! Thanks for this.
I carry three speedloaders, but I've currently only got one of DeSantis' neat little speedloader carriers that spit the rounds between the front and back of your belt. Two of my speedloaders are currently sitting in a regular HKS holder, and it's pretty lumpy. Lumpy enough that I sometimes just take them out and put them in my pocket. Your idea is totally innocuous. And LOTS cheaper than buying a couple more DeSantis speedloader holders."Never give up, never surrender!" Commander Peter Quincy Taggart

How about the speed strips, do any of you carry those?

Re: Concealed Speedloader Carry
Great idea, thanks!
I have seen the speed strips on ebay., Note that after enough use they will split and break, and need to be replaced periodically. They are a bit pricy for what they are.
Normally when I carry a revolver CC I carry one speedloader in a single carrier, and 2 speedstrips. Along with a BUG.

Re: Concealed Speedloader Carry
I have one of those, and wish they would modify the design so it didn't have the hole in the flap over the knurled knob of the loader. It has a tendency to catch it if my body is bent the right way, and the knurling chafes a bit if it my shirt rides up over it. Good idea though with the 50/50 split.
After wearing this around today for errands, I will recommend buying a phone holster with either a beefy belt clip, or sewn fabric loop. The little tin clips wont hack it with the weight of two HKS loaders. Nite Ize pouches have nice belt clips, and are available online in all sorts of flavors for <$10.

Re: Concealed Speedloader Carry
Outstanding idea. Thank you, CommonHighrise.
I carry two or three hks speedloaders myself. However, I usually don't mind 'lumps' in my pockets. If someone notices? Heck - I'm cool with letting their imaginations 'run wild'.
But, digging/fishing around in my pockets during any scenario where I would *need* a fast (or tactical) reload? That's a different story.
I just might try this.

Re: Concealed Speedloader Carry
The below is what can happen I was practicing actually getting the things out of my pocket (easier said than done, it turns out) and managed to twist the knob, spewing .38s all over the place. Embarrassing in front of the wife, perhaps a bit of a problem in more serious social situations.
