Best scope rings for magnum handguns

What kind of scope rings does everyone use for big bore handguns 44mag, 460, 500

Personally shoot DW 445 Super Mag unported, and 7mm-08 both in a custom Lone Eagle ported, and Weatherby bolt pistol unported. All scoped. Bases are one piece of steel or 6061-T6 aluminum.

First step is most important to insure a solid mount platform like that of a building. Base/mount is the foundation floor & lower walls. Rings are like the upper walls & roof when combined they support & unitized things together making the sum of the whole stronger.

Over the years after setting up alot of big bore hunting handguns have found the styles like: Cross slot aka Weaver-Picatinny-Warne, Dual Dovetail (finicky set up), Cone Stud like the World Class Tasco (made by Hilliver), and Uni Mounts to be the strongest.

Lots of good rings available in both steel and only 6061-T6 aluminum, but absolutely imperative to gripping power & shift control is ring alignment, and surface contact. Personally have come to like sleeved rings like Burris Signature Zee (cross slot), Burris Signature Dual Dovetail, Night Force EGW w/ 1" delrin sleeves, Warne Maxima, and the Leupold PRW (made by Warne for Leupold).

2 rings generally ok from 357 Mag on down. Ok even 44 Mag, 460-500 S&W IF ported...butT must be very good material & properly fitted!!!!

3 rings (2 front) on 44 Mag on up if unported, and preferred alot of cases will be emptied.
