Belaboring the obvious HB 2793
Probably a vast majority of us already know better than to mix guns and alcohol without the need for this:
Regular Session 2021-2022
House Bill 2793
Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, providing for the offense of carrying firearms while under the influence of alcohol.
Prime Sponsor: Representative HOWARD
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Sept. 1, 2022 [House]

I completely disagree with "don't mix guns and alcohol".
Yes, alcohol *may* affect your judgement (and aim), but merely carrying a gun while intoxicated should NOT be a crime.
Further, you do not lose your right to self-defense when under the influence of alcohol, illicit drugs, or even potentially mind-altering Rx medications. It's absolutely possible to still have a situation where one's life it truly at risk, and if one uses force to defend themselves appropriately, that should not automatically be canceled out because of the presence of some chemical in one's system.
Again, not recommending it, but criminalizing it is an absolute no-go for me. There are plenty of laws already regulating "bad behavior" that apply whether either guns or alcohol in included in a given scenario. How about just enforcing those?Get your "Guns Save Lives" stickers today! PM for more info.

Get fucked. Maybe they should restrict other fundamental rights when you have a beer too.

What they should do is outlaw driving while intoxicated. That would save a lot of lives.
