Has anyone ever dealt with cabelas and their 30 day used firearm warranty?

Picked up my first 1911 two days ago and all looked good. My girlfriend who is a lefty engaged the ambi safety only to discover it doesn't work. The two halves of the safety are not properly mated internally.

Since Im right handed this never occured to me when I was inspecting the pistol. I watched the left side of the safety and verified that it locked up tight and was safe. Soooo I learned a 1911 noob mistake I guess.

Cabelas has a 30 day warranty on used weapons which I signed and they only gave me a copy of my signature but not the agreement. The sales person told me that the in house gunsmiths would attempt to fix the gun at no charge but if they had to send it out they would charge me.

Has anyone eer had to deal with the cabelas warranty program?

Just called, was instructed it would be no problem and they would fix it for freebies.

Just out of curiosity, was it a Taurus 1911? The reason I ask is my friend had bought one from Cabela's and the safety broke on the first trip to the range. He ended up returning it and getting a Springfield.
