question does keeping xds after recall make you a criminal?

I have read a lot of things about people not sending in their xds pistols to springfield.

My question is are they violating the law by not sending them in?

It only becomes illegal when it goes full auto (and some loser turns you in).

The main issue is that it is illegal to sell a recalled item.

You can also make a glock full auto as long as you do not make it full auto it is legal. Not sure it would be worth going full auto other than to say you did anyway look up full auto glocks on you tube and see how heard they are to control.

A friend of mine has one of the affected serial numbers. The info he got was that it's a voluntary recall for the potential to fire a single round while chambering, or double-firing on a single trigger pull. Not quite what I'd consider "full auto". Wasn't happening to all xds models, but possible within a defined range of serial numbers.
