Beretta 9000
Anyone have any experience with this gun? I don't know why...this gun just keeps popping out to me. It must be the sleek lines...but I'm very interested in it. Any info would be appreciated

Re: Beretta 9000
I think its ugry personaly. and feel all wierd. heavy and bulky. But it shoot well. And with adapter, u can use more plentyfull 92 mags, but i have never seen one before.
But with 12rds with standard mag, I really see no advantage getting 9000 over PX4 Storm(if you want stick with Beretta).
PX4 has same proven short-recoil, rotating barrel lock used in Beretta 8000, same Operating System as the M9/92/96 series, Picatinny rail on the chin, and changeable backstrap options for the grip, and 17rds capacity.
But if compact size is what your after, there are tons of other better(and mostly cheaper) choices, like glock, M&P, XD, Taurus

Re: Beretta 9000
I thought about possibly getting one.....until I held it. It is incredably blocky and not very light. If you want to know why they debuted at around $600 and are now going NIB for around $300, just go and hold one. They were a very short run handgun because people did not like the style. I have no doubt they operate well, but I did not like they felt at all.

I'd just wait for the Px4 SubCompact version...

Re: Beretta 9000
The last few times I have visited the Beretta website, they no longer list the 9000 as a product. I think they abandoned it in favor of the PX4 series.

Re: Beretta 9000
I have a 9000s in 9mm and am impressed with it.
Downsides:
1) out of the box, the safety was stiff and needed 100+ rounds to ease up
2) the slide is narrow on top, making it a bit difficult to easily grasp
3) controversial "deep" grip which is long through the body, but relatively narrow in width
4) aftermarket accessories are few
Upsides:
1) functions beautifully, reliably, and accurately
2) very clean lines lend itself to snag-free carry
3) safety system permits cocked-n-locked as well as DA with safety
4) once you get used to it, the 'deep' grip really makes this pistol easier to hold on target since recoil tends to be directed back into your palm and not into your thumb joint
Decent capacity (12+1) in a small, reliable, accurate pistol that looks cool! You KNOW that I had to buy one! Here is a picture of the 9000 next to a Millennium Pro PT-111 for comparison:
