    Default Holster Suggestions

    Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a Kimber 1911 Custom TLE/RL II and I*m having a hard time finding a polymer or kydex holster to wear OWB rt hand with level 2 retention. Can anyone of you please advise me to a good source? I*m at a loss here?

Safariland ALS or GLS Pro Fit come to mind. Also the Blackhawk T series.

I looked at both and the website gave me something completely different when looking into what worked. Blackhawk gave me the Serpa and Safariland gave me the 7501 Cruiser??

Give Kimber a call or email them and ask them the same question.

Looks like there's no Safariland ALS for your gun. That's the problem with uncommon pistols. I've been burned before, buying a gun before checking to see if commercial holsters are available for it.

It's just a railed 1911. There should be an ALS for that, I would think. If not, then the gls would probably work. You just have to find a model for a 1911 with rail. They're adjustable, so it should work.

Baring that, your probably going to have to look at something with a thumb break to get to the retention you want. A lot of holster makers offer a thumb break that can be added to their design.

    They don't make a Blackhawk T series for a 1911. Shame because they're great.

The GLS Pro Fit "Long" model looks like it will work for a 5" 1911 railed or not. Search eBay "GLS pro fit 578 long"

    Example:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/11496209927...EAAOSwjmJhLUED

Pretty cheap. The 578 is good because it has the belt slide and paddle I believe. eBay returns are easy too if it doesn't fit. And it's modular like other safariland holsters.
