Selfish bastard should have blew his brains out at his mother's kitchen table or basement instead of going out and trying to destroy someone's place of business.

Police chief Kent Werkheiser said the man, whose name has not yet been released, injured himself with a shotgun just before 2:30 p.m. He was flown by medevac to a hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
I guess he should have taken a few firearms classes there before he tried to off himself. How the hell do you shoot yourself with a 12 ga and it is "non-life threatening".

*One of our instructors saw the warning signs, based on his extensive training, and was able to intervene,* Cimino said. *Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the recovering individual and their family during this difficult time."
If the extensively trained instructor saw warning signs , why did the guy still have the shotgun?

Because he didn't really want to die. Probably just wanted attention , er I mean , help.

Trying to shoot yourself with a shotgun can be a difficult thing, depending on the shotgun. Some barrels are pretty long.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

The trick is to pull the trigger with your toe (seriously).

Perhaps the staff member had just enough time to close the distance and slap the gun away from a lethal position.

Or perhaps not. The report is light on detail.

Responded to One shotgun /suicide in the 1990s ,the devastation that occurs will haunt the normal person for the rest of their lives .Yes trigger was engaged with a toe while seated against the wall on the floor .Must have given considerable ivestigation into how and where to make this suicide take place,Even with t suicide note clearly protected on two plastic baggies .I would not divulge the contents of letter but it was hate for all in his lives and said he finally gave up .An avid hunter/friend smile on his face and no one ever saw this coming .John was a good friend from Up State NY ,and we all never saw this coming, only his rants about another man in his girlsfriends life . RIP JOHN !
