number of AR-15s and AR-15 owners in PA
I posted a similar question on THR for nationwide statistics, but I've been wondering, due to the immense popularity of ARs since the AWB expired in '04, how many AR-15s (and variants) do you think are in PA? I'd venture a guess that at least one out of a hundred people in the state owns an AR, so what does that translate to in raw numbers? I also wouldn't be surprised if the percentage was higher. What do you guys think?
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

You can get started building a rig for around $600 but off the shelf will run ya $700-$800 for good quality or $1200 for top shelf.

Re: number of AR-15s and AR-15 owners in PA
I own 7 AR15's, and my brother owns 2.
I have a couple of friends that own 1-5, and LOTS of friends who own 0, goose egg.
Out of the overall population, I think that 1 in 100 isn't feasible, and I think that the overall statistics would actually be closer to 1 in 5000. (or even higher)Last edited by itstock; January 30th, 2008 at 08:14 PM.

I actually lost interest in the AR thing....back when, it was neat to have them, build them, be unique......be the guy at the range with the forbidden "weapon".......now, they are a dime a dozen....everyone has one in all variations. I guess I was trying to keep a memory alive with my Ar's and M1a's.....Can't use the ole "yeah, I was in the service and used this" line or chat starter anymore.....kids are showing up with the ultimate tricked out rifles I've ever seen....."yo old man.....what you gonna snap with those relics....check out these space age shooters pops". Hell, at their ages I was worrying about a full tank of gas and weekend cash for liberty...or keeping my buddies and my own six in one peice....
