    Default Maryland Crabs!

Just got back from a weekend in Annapolis. We feasted on nothing but crabs and other sea stuff both days.
The crabs where big and nice and heavy, and the beer was cold

I would have liked to make this a meal protection thread and added a gun or two to the pictures, but since MD is a communist state, I had to protect my crabs with my bare hands.

Appetizer - oysters, little necks, mussels, and shrimp

one dozen large with some sharp protection

killer crab hacked up one of his buddies

It's nice to see that you truly enjoyed the only GOOD thing Maryland has to offer! I was born and raised in Western Pa. and lived in Maryland for 23 years and I have to say they know what there doing when it comes to crabs. I really never could get orgasmic over them like the locals do, I mean I never saw so many different ways to crack a crab and everyone's way is the best!

I was down the MD seashore (actually Bethany DE) for the past week... some interesting things to note.

the JUMBO crabs had less mean than the Large crabs.

Seems like the jumbos...were a little light. the Large crabs were HEAVY!

    MM...MM... Good!

My entire extended family travels to Ocean City MD every summer, and "Crab Night" is a big dinner favorite. My 8yr old daughter can crack them like nothing now.

They only had medium and large ones to choose from so we went with the large. They were nice and meaty and they all had good weight to them.

I was drinking Bacardi and cokes while we were waiting for our table and then switched to Lagers when the crabs came out. That drink in the picture with the lemon was a Bay breeze that my wife was drinking while we were waiting

Last night we feasted on crabs, steamed clams, shrimp. We are in the Outer Banks and enjoying all the seafood. No guns down here though. Got pics but no access to posting them from the camera.
